Daily Tip 12/09/05 - More Popular and In Demand The Item Is, The More Money You Will Make
This rule is simple. If you want to make more money, then sell a very popular item that is in high demand. If an item is in high demand, then people will fight over the item more, resulting in a higher end price. Many of these items fall in an electronics category, although so can things like children toys. Remember Furby and Tickle Me Elmo? Great examples. Recently Microsoft released it's next generation video game system, the Xbox 360. The 360 was stricken with a shortage, and it was very hard to get a hold of. Not before long, people on eBay were looking for it, and willing to pay top dollar for it. The system's MSRP price is $399, and when it launched in late November, sold for up to $1200 without any extra accessories. Thats $800 in profit in a single sale. After a couple weeks, the system is still in high demand, though not as much before, but you can still sell a $400 system for about $700-$800, and $400 profit isn't bad at all. If you can get a hold of one of these soon, by all means sell it. I expect that you should still be able to make a profit off these systems for the next couple months.
